Construction of the self-catering accommodation has been completed this year to an exceptionably high standard with quality fixtures, fittings and furniture.

Consideration has been given to the needs of those with mobility impairment and construction has been completed using the National Accessible Scheme (NAS) criteria as a guide and the property is comparable to M2 standards for accessibility – (Typically suitable for a person with restricted walking ability and for those who may need to use a wheelchair some of the time and can negotiate a maximum of three steps).

The accommodation provides a ground floor double bedroom together with a wet room.


This property is named after Marengo, the famous war mount of Napoleon I of France, named after the Battle of Marengo, through which he carried his rider safely.

The Isle of Wight has long been a popular holiday destination for visitors of all ages and with some spectacular beaches and trail rides it is ideal for riding holidays too. However, if your interests are just the Isle of Wight and enjoying its amazing scenery, clean, sandy beaches and the history in which the Island is steeped, this newly constructed, high quality self-catering accommodation will provide you with a convenient central location to easily access all points of the Island with all places of interest being within a 30-35 minute drive.

In total the centre can sleep up to 60 guests at any one time making this an ideal venue for groups, schools and riding clubs to visit and you can even bring your own horses to not only utilise our on-site facilities, but also enjoy the spectacular beach and trail rides that the Isle of Wight has to offer.

Whilst this riding holiday centre provides a range of first class facilities for horse owners and riders, we welcome non-horse riding guests and should a horse-ride or a riding lesson appeal to you as a non-rider, the centre has its own selection of ponies and horses as well as qualified and highly respected instructors.

The range of first class facilities to be enjoyed by horse owners, riders and enthusiasts comprise a luxury livery yard that will stable 18 horses, a sheltered wash down area, solarium, a mess-room for the exclusive use of those subscribing to livery, which includes a kitchen and relaxation area, a WC, feed room and separate tack room.

The centre also boasts a 60m x 40m outdoor arena constructed 2017 with superb drainage and a high quality, was surface unrivalled on the Island.

Scheduled to be open in the Autumn of 2017 is an indoor arena which will house an Olympic sized dressage arena complete with spectator seating, together with a restaurant with an elevated, outdoor dining area with views over countryside, retail units and training/conference room.

Planned for 2018 is a brand new 80m x 50m grass show jumping arena as well as a 45-foot diameter walker for 6 horses.

ACCOMMODATION

Entered on the ground floor into a reception hall with ground floor wet room and double bedroom.

The hall leads to an open plan living and dining area with comfortable lounge seating, dining table and chairs for 6 and French doors leading to a private patio garden. A modern fitted kitchen with electric oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster and microwave.

A Smart TV linked to the centre's WIFI provides a wide choice of media entertainment on Freeview and or via Netflix and Amazon using the guest's personal login to their subscription.

Stairs to the first floor landing off of which there is;

a master double bedroom

a twin bedroom and a main bathroom comprising a toilet, wash basin and bath with shower over.

Outside at the rear there is a private patio garden accessed through French doors in the lounge/dining area. To the front there is a landscaped quadrangle.

With an 'eco-friendly' ethos, the Centre boasts solar water heating, rainwater harvesting and waste water treatment, which requires the management of the type of washing detergents that can only be used and therefore a laundry facility is provided together with a supply of the appropriate washing detergent.
