Changes to your booking due to the coronavirus

COVID-19 update: as at 3rd June 2020

The safety of our guests, owners and employees is of the highest importance to us. In light of this, and in line with latest government guidelines, we have contacted all customers travelling up to 3rd July 2020 to let them know that, unfortunately, their holiday cannot go ahead as planned. We are accepting new bookings with an arrival date from 4th July 2020.

For customers with travel dates up to 3rd July 2020

We have offered all guests the option to transfer your holiday free of charge to selected 2020 or a 2021 dates, or request a refund if this is not possible. This includes a free transfer of the ferry booking if applicable.

We are pleased to say this process has now been completed with great success and we are happy to say that whether the guests have booked through us or one of our affiliated online booking sources [Booking.com, Airbnb, Cottages.com, Tripadvisor or Homeaway] we have managed to move a majority to future dates with the Isle of Wight safe in the knowledge that visitors will not be travelling until the current non-essential travel measures are due to be lifted at the beginning of July.

For existing customers with travel dates after 3 July 2020

At present, there is no indication that holidays after 3 July 2020 cannot go ahead. If you decide to wait and your travel dates were to be affected by public health measures such that your accommodation cannot be provided, you would at that point have a number of options available to you, including a free transfer or a refund of the amount previously paid.

To give customers extra flexibility, we have the option to delay their balance due date to just three weeks before their holiday is due to start, so please get in touch if you are concerned to discuss your options fully.

If you decide to cancel your holiday before any new announcements from the government you will still have a liability for the remainder of the balance stated in your summary. Please ensure you check your terms & conditions fully before notifying us to cancel / transfer your booking [please refer to your online booking source if not booked through Island Holiday Homes directly].

If you decide to wait and your travel dates were to be affected by public health measures such that your accommodation cannot be provided or the ferry companies had extending their non-essential travel ban then at that point we will advise of options available to you.

For new bookings please browse our website or telephone our office on 01983 866455

We would advise you to check the Gov.UK website for the most up to date information.
