This spacious and comfortable house is situated in an enviable position of seclusion with an acre and a half of private garden, right next to the marina of Island Harbour, set in the beautiful riverside valley.
Located on the Medina River, about a mile downstream of the world renowned sailing town of Cowes, this peaceful marina offers 200 berths as well as many amenities including a licensed bar and bistro restaurant ‘Breeze’, chandlery, boat hoist and repair workshop.
The home offers comfortable accommodation over two floors creating a spacious, light and airy environment with stylish, contemporary furnishings.
You enter the house in to the hallway where there is a downstairs WC. Ahead of you is a large sitting room with open working fire place and glass sliding doors opening on to the garden. To the right is an open plan, well equipped kitchen with central Breakfast Island and a door opening to the garden. The kitchen leads through a seating area with sofa and coffee table and in to the Dining Room which seats twelve, large enough to hold a catered dinner party. Another table is available for an extra four people if necessary. At the end of the dining room there are glass sliding doors out to the garden.
From the dining room area there is a door leading to a downstairs bathroom and then on to the first bedroom which has a double bed and a single bed. Further, to the front of the house there is Study with a sofa bed and television. Off this is a shower room. This room can therefore also be used as a further bedroom with en-suite.
The first floor comprises the master bedroom with King size bed, across the landing is the second bedroom which has a double bed and the third bedroom has 2 single beds and bunk beds. The family bathroom is upstairs with large rose head shower over the bath. All the bedrooms enjoy the views of the beautiful surrounding countryside. A Garden Studio which provides extra accommodation for 2 persons can be made available at an additional cost of £275 per week.
The special thing about this house is although you are in the middle of the country side and all that has to offer, you are also within minutes walk to the bustling marina, with it’s very own bistro/bar “Breeze”, with good food, good wine and convivial atmosphere.
Country walks and cycle tracks are all close by. Newport, the Islands capital with an abundance of shops, pubs and restaurants is a 30 minute (approx) riverside walk or just a few minutes (approx) by car. Cyclists can enjoy the local tracks which are accessed close by, linking many outstanding miles over the Island.
A little further (approx ½ mile), a stroll along the riverbank, or a trip down the river in a water taxi, leads to the popular yachtsman’s watering-hole ‘The Folly Inn’ with lively evening entertainment, good food and large waterside terrace.
Queen Victoria’s seaside home, Osborne House is about 2½ miles away and Carisbrooke Castle can be found just the other side of Newport.

Outside is an acre and a half, laid to lawn surrounded by trees, giving the property total privacy. There is a large patio area perfect for entertaining. GARDEN STUDIO to sleep 2 at an extra £275 per week.
