Weather is a national pastime for us in the UK and the Isle of Wight is one of the UK’s most popular holiday destinations not just because of it’s stunning scenery and amazing beaches, but also because it enjoys some of the warmest, sunniest days recorded in the UK. Ventnor Bonchurch & St.Lawrence, on the South of the Island, even enjoys its own ‘micro-climate’! Allowing the more exotic plants to thrive and survive the winters. The stunning unspoiled coastline along the West side of the Island (locally known as ‘Back of the Wight’) boast miles of sandy beaches and rugged bays. Accessibility may be tricky but they are well worth exploring as the Southerly and Westerly aspects allows one to soak up the sun well into the summer evenings and enjoy breath-taking sunsets to top off the day.
